About Pit Lane

Built by an F1 fan. Played by F1 fans.

The Story

Pit Lane started the way a lot of passion projects do — out of frustration with the existing options. Every race weekend our group would make predictions about who was going to win but tracking results in a spreadsheet was tedious.

So we built it ourselves. Pit Lane designed and developed by one developer who also happens to spend too many weekends watching cars go very fast around a circuit.

The format is simple simple predict who will races and season results without complicated salary caps and budget constraints. Plus a few bonus predictions for each race for fun. The prize money tracking can be customized for your league if you care for such things for your league,

What Makes Pit Lane Different

There are a few deliberate choices that set this game apart from other prediction platforms:

A Smarter Scoring System

Points are based on the official F1 championship scale, but with a twist — you score at the worse of your predicted position versus the actual finish. Being confidently wrong costs you. Careful, well-reasoned picks are rewarded.

Private Leagues

Create a closed league for your friends, family, or office with a unique join code. Your standings, prizes, and leaderboards are completely separate from everyone else's competition.

Season-Long Predictions

Before the first race you lock in your predictions for the entire Drivers and Constructors Championships. Get them right and you are rewarded at the end of the season — one more thing to argue about all year.

Bonus Picks Each Race

Beyond the top 10, you can predict which driver will crash out and who will set the fastest lap. Optional but they can swing a weekend leaderboard in your favour when you call it right.

Our Philosophy

All "winnings" in the app are virtual. The points, the prizes, the leaderboard positions — they are all symbolic. The only thing at stake is your reputation among the people you play with, which is honestly the most motivating currency there is.

The scoring system was designed intentionally to reward knowledge over luck. Blanket optimistic predictions for the race favourite do not win here — you need to get the order right, not just pick the winner. The further off you are in either direction, the less you score. It punishes overconfidence and rewards genuine understanding of what a race weekend looks like.

We also take the UI seriously. F1 is a sport defined by precision engineering and bold aesthetics. A fantasy platform built around it should look the part — not like a spreadsheet wrapped in a form.

Get in Touch

Pit Lane is a living project. If something is broken, confusing, or could be better, we genuinely want to know. Feature ideas, bug reports, complaints about the scoring algorithm — all welcome.

You can also reach your league manager directly for anything specific to your private league — prize questions, joining issues, or if you just need someone to blame for a bad prediction deadline.
